Early New Orleans Eagle
1843-O $10 AU50 NGC. Winter-4. Vertical shield lines extend
both north and south beyond the borders. Numerous tiny marks and
abrasions fill the fields of this well-defined 1843-O ten dollar
gold. Green-gold surfaces retain retain partial mint luster and
orange accents surround both sides. Most 1843-O examples grade XF
or less -- this AU50 coin is at least a step above those coins both
in sharpness and in visual appeal.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 262R, PCGS# 8589, Greysheet# 9431)
