Description
1834 25C B-4, R.1, MS61 NGC. Tompkins Die State 1/2. The reverse is heavily cracked on this variety, but this die state does not show evidence of clashing or lapping. On the obverse, star 10 is repunched. This piece shows light contact marks but is satiny and toned in original lavender, blue, and orange-gold hues. Stars 1 and 7 are weakly struck.
