Description

1892 Eagle, MS65
CAC Approved

1892 $10 MS65 PCGS. CAC. The 1892 is a generic issue through MS63, and it is moderately scarce in MS64. In Gem, however, it is rare with just three pieces graded MS65 by PCGS with two finer, an MS65+ and an MS66 (12/19).

The last auction appearance for an 1892 eagle certified by PCGS in MS65 is from the Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 9/2002), lot 8477, which brought $6,038.

This is the only 1892 eagle graded MS65 to have been stickered by CAC with none finer (12/19).

This spectacular Gem exhibits sharply detailed design elements and virtually flawless peach-gold surfaces that radiate vibrant mint luster throughout. For the collector seeking a special type coin to represent the Liberty Head With Motto ten dollar design, this piece is worth strong consideration.
