Description
1936 Quarter Dollar, PR67
Scarce High-End Example
1936 25C PR67 NGC. After suspending proof coin production in
1916, proof sets for the five denominations of cent through half
dollar were reinstated in the Mint's operations in 1936. Only 3,837
proof Washington quarters were struck for that first-year proof
set, and today examples are scarce in Superb Gem condition. The
present piece displays reflective fields and sharp devices cast in
uniform champagne-russet toning. No distracting marks are evident.
