Description

1837 1C Plain Cords, Medium Letters, N-3, R.1, MS62 Brown PCGS. Both sides have weak but complete borders, with reverse die cracks as always. The reversed "L"-shaped die scratch from the left end of the bar below the denomination is constant and permits immediate attribution. The surfaces are glossy steel and olive with full luster and sharp design details. Traces of mint red remain on each side. A tiny rim nick appears at star 3. Our EAC grade MS60.
