1836 GR-1 Half Dollar, VF35
Superlative Surfaces; Popular Issue

1836 50C Reeded Edge, GR-1, R.2, VF35 PCGS. Choice, steel-gray surfaces contain deeper hues around the margins. A slightly uneven strike and blending from circulation explain alternating areas of crispness and softness. A few hairlines and pinscratches appear on each side. This first-year steam press issue with a reported mintage of 1,200 coins never experiences a lull in demand.
