1793 Chain Cent, Good Details
S-3, B-4, AMERICA

1793 1C Chain, AMERICA, S-3, B-4, Low R.3 -- Repaired -- PCGS Genuine. Good Details. This Chain cent is heavily pitted. The entire obverse has been reengraved. Close inspection shows where the original straight bust line would be versus the curved alteration. The date and LIBERTY have also been added. This is an affordable survivor from the first year of issue and an important type in American numismatics. Our EAC grade Fair 2.
Ex: ANA Signature (Heritage, 8/2015), lot 7055, where it brought $2,232.50.
