Description

1864 Three Cent Silver, PR66
Undesignated Cameo Contrast
Pristine Surfaces, Gold CAC

1864 3CS PR66 PCGS. Gold CAC. A needle-sharp proof, starkly cameoed on both sides with light rose interiors and deeper violet and lilac borders. The preservation and eye appeal are exceptional. Housed in an old 'rattler' holder, this 1864 proof type coin is award CAC's Gold label, indicating that in their opinion it is undergraded. Already graded PR66, it is impressive that even at this level the coin is thought to be finer. Its eye appeal certainly is. Housed in a first-generation PCGS holder. Population: 21 in 66 (2 in 66+), 11 finer. Gold CAC: 1 in 66, 0 finer (7/19).
