Description
1795 B-14, BB-51 Draped Bust Dollar
Off-Center Bust, XF Details
1795 $1 Draped Bust, Off-Center, B-14, BB-51, R.2 -- Improperly
Cleaned -- NGC Details. XF. Bowers Die State II, lightly
clashed. B-14 is regarded as the first Draped Bust die variety of
any denomination, since it is presumed that experience gained from
entering the bust off center allowed B-15 to have a properly
centered bust. This well-defined and minimally abraded
representative is impressively void of abrasions, though the
reverse exergue retains minor adjustment marks, as coined. The
powder-blue surfaces are faintly hairlined.
