BRUTTIUM. Croton. Ca. 425-350 BC. AR stater (22mm, 7.76 gm, 9h). NGC Choice XF 5/5 - 4/5. ?POT, eagle standing left with closed wings on Ionic capital, beak open; dotted border / ?POT, tripod terminating in lion's feet; barley grain to left, E below, dotted border. HN Italy 2140. SNG ANS 336-337. Superb example with sharp strike and violet to blue flashes on deep cabinet toning.
