Description
1874-CC Double Eagle, XF45
Lustrous Old West Collectible
1874-CC $20 XF45 PCGS. Winter 1-A. The 1874-CC has the
second highest mintage of the Carson City series with 115,085
pieces. Nevertheless, low-end Uncirculated examples are scarce, and
PCGS reports just four pieces in MS63, with none finer (10/25).
Ample luster remains in the recesses of this attractive XF45.
Green-gold surfaces reveal lively orange accents on the device high
points. Typical softness is seen on Liberty's hair and on the
center of the reverse. Marks are grade-consistent with none proving
individually bothersome.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26AP, PCGS# 8971, Greysheet# 9920)
