Red and Brown Surfaces
1864 2C Large Motto PR65 Red and Brown PCGS. The Large Motto
1864 two cent proof is by far the more affordable option for
representing the inaugural issue in a proof date set, although it
is scarce in high grade. This Gem Red and Brown coin is full Red on
the obverse and mostly Red on the reverse, showing only a small
blush of olive and amber toning around 2 CENTS. The coin is fully
struck and displays deep mirroring in the fields. There are no
distracting marks. Population: 40 in 65 Red and Brown, 13 finer
