1875-CC $20 AU53 NGC. Winter 7-A....
Description
1875-CC Double Eagle, AU53
Desirable Old West Twenty Dollar Gold
1875-CC $20 AU53 NGC. Winter 7-A. Despite a lower mintage
than the 1876-CC, the 1875-CC double eagle is more available --
especially in higher grades. Heritage has confirmed 16 different
die pairs responsible for the 111,151-piece mintage. Frosty mint
luster illuminates the medium-gold surfaces of this AU53 example.
Light abrasions exist throughout the fields, although this coin is
certainly less abraded than many we have seen for the assigned
grade. Slight central strike weakness gains definition toward the
margins and eye appeal is strong.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26AT, PCGS# 8974, Greysheet# 9922)
