1929-S Buffalo Nickel, MS65
Two Feathers Variety
1929-S 5C Two Feathers, FS-401, MS65 PCGS. A variety caused
by a Mint worker's lapping of the die to remove clash marks. Not
listed in the Sixth Edition of Cherrypickers', but listed in
David Lange's series reference. A hint of softness is noted in the
centers, but generally sharp at the margins. Light tan-gray
surfaces are smooth save for a few tiny lower obverse toning
flecks.Ex: Palm Beach Signature (Heritage, 3/2006), lot 354.
