Republic gold 8 Escudos 1843 MV AU Detail (Scratch) PCGS, Quito mint, KM23.2, Fr-3. A beautiful representative of this Liberty Head type, with a wide, harvest-gold planchet that contains mild reverse scratches and a moderate amount of wear over both sides that has affected the design motifs. While not as popular as the later Bolivar bust types, this example easily warrants a second look, and is absolutely deserving of collector attention.Metal: Gold
