Description

George I gold Specimen Coronation Medal 1714 SP62 PCGS, MI-424-9, Eimer-470. 34mm. By John Croker. A rare offering as the reported mintage in gold was a mere 330 pieces. This official coronation issue, with dramatic relief and an appealing cameo effect on the devices, depicts George being crowned by Britannia herself. Meager wisps in the fields are only plainly visible due to the strong reflectivity expressed therein and an overall brilliance that rewards a prolonged admiration. Most pleasing and a necessary contemplation for the British medal enthusiasts. Includes original case of issue.

Metal: Gold
Diameter: 34mm
