1864 Large Motto Two Cent
PR65 Red and Brown
Old Green Label Holder
1864 2C Large Motto PR65 Red and Brown PCGS. Glossy,
mirrored surfaces showcase areas of crimson, olive, and
chestnut-brown color. The strike is sharp, and a few scattered
flecks are well-hidden by the patina. The 1864 Large Motto proof is
elusive in high grade and rarely offered finer than the Gem level
with any color designation. Housed in an old green label holder of
the two-piece, plastic collar design. Population: 41 in 65 (1 in
65+) Red and Brown, 35 finer (including Red and Red Cameo pieces)
(2/18).Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2005), lot 5547.
