Description

1891-CC Ten Dollar Gold, MS63
Seldom Seen Finer

1891-CC $10 MS63 PCGS. CAC. Variety 2-B. The mintage of 103,732 is generous by Carson City standards, but Select Uncirculated coins are scarce and the issue is nearly unobtainable any finer. This CAC-approved example is lustrous and and attractive, with a bold strike on all of the motifs. Only a few distributed, tiny marks disturb the frosted fields and sharp devices. Population: 65 in 63 (1 in 63+), 3 finer (7/14).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 266U, PCGS# 8720, Greysheet# 9512)

Weight: 16.72 grams

Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
