Description

1834 Half Dollar, Frosty MS64
O-106, Large Date, Small Letters

1834 50C Large Date, Small Letters, O-106, R.1, MS64 PCGS. Overton-106 is plentiful, known as the Large Over Small 4 variety, with the crosslet of a smaller, repunched 4 evident above the crosslet of the primary 4 in the date. This issue is popular as a date with type collectors. The coin offered here displays brilliant, frosty mint luster that is devoid of bothersome abrasions. Areas of localized strike weakness affect some obverse stars and the inner part of the eagle's left (facing) wing.
