Deep, Variegated Toning; Late Die State

1807 50C Draped Bust, O-110a, T-3, R.2, AU53 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 3/4. Deep powder-blue, autumn-brown, and plum-mauve toning envelops this lightly abraded, late die state half. The centers show slight wear, but luster glistens from the legends and devices. Both sides display several peripheral spindly die cracks, and the reverse is noticeably clashed at the top. The coin is prooflike at the margins.
