Description

1808/7 50C O-101, R.1, AU58 PCGS. The strike is razor-sharp and mint luster radiates from this borderline Mint State overdate half. Pale-gold toning deepens at the margins and adds to the eye appeal. As the sole overdate in the two-year original John Reich design, variety collectors seek the O-101 as a preferred die marriage. Both the 1807 and 1808 "first style" Capped Bust halves are in demand by type collectors as well. Population: 18 in 58 (1 in 58+), 20 finer (5/16).
