1857 1C N-3, R.5, Small Date PR64 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. The N-3 and N-5 1857 die pairs were only used for proof coinage. This Choice N-3 exhibits highly reflective fields and richly frosted devices. Bright mint-copper patina is tinted in medium chocolate-brown, and vibrant shades of lavender and emerald-gold flash in the fields under light. Wire rims are visible through the PCGS generation 3.1 green holder.
