1857 Flying Eagle Cent, MS65
Rare in High Grade
1857 1C MS65 NGC. A delightful mix of hazel and lighter tan
patina covers both sides of this carefully preserved Gem. The
strike is razor-sharp, and there are only a couple of nearly
microscopic marks. A few minuscule carbon spots define the grade.
The 1857 is virtually impossible to locate above Gem. NGC reports
only 22 examples in MS66, with none finer (9/25).Ex: The Thrifty Scot Collection / Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 9/2009), lot 80.(Registry values: N2998)
