Description

1819/8 50C Large 9, O-104, R.1, AU58 PCGS. The crudely repunched star 2 is even more distinctive than the overdate. Light to medium butter-gold toning graces this unmarked and pleasing half dollar. The strike is crisp except for softness on a few stars and the A in STATES.
Ex: Allgood Collection (Heritage, 1/2011), lot 3647, which realized $2,760.
From The Eagle One Collection, Part II.
