Description

1894 Indian Cent, MS67 Red
Beautifully Frosted and Lustrous

1894 1C MS67 Red PCGS. The 1894 is a slightly better date among 1890s Indian cents, and high-end Red coins are scarce even in MS66. In MS67 Red, merely a handful are known, including four reported at PCGS and three at NGC (11/25). These figures may include duplications. We have previously handled a single coin from each service, representing just four appearances in our auctions. The most recent was a PCGS MS67 Red that appeared in our November 2025 Dallas Signature where it realized $15,000.

The current piece is every bit that coin's equal, if not superior. Blazing copper-orange and golden luster adorns sharp motifs and frosty fields. A few microscopic specks serve as pedigree markers but none are in prime focal areas.(Registry values: N4719)
