Description

1875-CC Trade Dollar, MS62
'Narwhale' Reverse Die Flaws

1875-CC T$1 Type One Reverse MS62 PCGS. Dubbed the "Narwhale" variety, this reverse die shows a long spine protruding from the eagle's beak through the second U in UNUM, as well as numerous smaller die flaws in the field on either side of the neck. A short spur extends off of the round of the R in TRADE, to the right. This Mint State Carson City Trade dollar is well-struck and essentially untoned. Scattered light abrasions are not bothersome.
