Type Two Reverse
1875-S T$1 Type Two Reverse MS64 PCGS. CAC. Large S
Mintmark. The 1875-S Trade dollar is scarce with the Type Two
Reverse, which shows no berry under the eagle's claw. Softly frosty
luster illuminates golden toning on this near-Gem example, with
only a few minor abrasions observed on each side. Strike weakness
appears on Liberty's head, the adjacent stars, and the eagle's
right (facing) talons. Examples are scarce any finer.Ex: Summer FUN Signature (Heritage, 7/2017), lot 3940, which realized $2,820.
