1863 $1 -- Cleaned -- PCGS Genuine. AU Details. OC-P1, R.4. Sea-green, powder-blue, and rose-red toning blankets this well-struck Civil War specimen. Close examination reveals hairlines beneath the deep patina, along with moderate marks on the upper reverse field and a slight rim disruption near star 10. The die pair is designated as proof-only by Osburn-Cushing, though PCGS has certified it as a business strike.
