Description

1890-CC Five Dollar, MS63
Attractive Carson City Mint Issue

1890-CC $5 MS63 PCGS. Winter 1-A. Yellow-gold with greenish overtones and tinges of violet on the reverse periphery create attractive eye appeal for this scarce Carson City branch mint half eagle gold piece. Small contact marks as to be expected for the grade, with none of them bothersome. Typical central softness in the strike with the hair curls around the ear and on the reverse shield, but peripheral design elements are well-formed. Frosty luster radiates throughout the surfaces of this splendid example.(Registry values: P2)
