1652 Pine Tree Threepence, VF35
No Pellets, Salmon 2-B
1652 Pine Tree Threepence, No Pellets at Trunk, Noe-36, W-640,
Salmon 2-B, R.4, VF35 PCGS. 17.6 grains. The Noe-36 has three
major die states, each with a notably different appearance. The
present Choice VF threepence is a late die state example. The TS in
MASATHVSETS is re-engraved (on the obverse die) along with nearby
inner beads, and the pellet cluster at 10:30 is indistinct. The
centers are sharp. The steel-gray surfaces show minor granularity,
and the obverse border at 2:30 displays moderate marks. Listed on
