Description

Elusive Premium Gem 1910 Double Eagle

1910 $20 MS66 PCGS. An unsurpassable satin-like representative with blushes of delicate orange and lilac patina in the centers. Even under close examination, the fields have escaped virtually blemish-free and only the most insignificant grazes can be found over the major design elements. One has to look at quite a few typical Mint State representatives of this issue before they can really appreciate the outstanding quality of this piece. The 1910 is one of the lesser seen P-mint Double Eagles in Uncirculated grades. Although it can hardly be categorized as scarce in lower Mint State grades, it emerges as an especially elusive issue in Gem or better condition. Population: 3 in 66, 0 finer (11/05).
