Nicholas I platinum 3 Roubles 1828-CПБ MS63 Prooflike PCGS, St. Petersburg mint, KM-C177, Bit-73 (R1). A stunning example of the inaugural platinum 3 Roubles issue, one of Russia's more memorable numismatic creations. Minor nicks and bumps keep the numerical assignment to Choice, but the Prooflike contrast elevates this piece to a laudable level of eye appeal. These issues are treasured by collectors in the present condition, where the brilliance of the platinum, which was rarely used in coinage during this period, is on full display.
