A beautiful, unimprovable and very much sought-after modern commemorative celebrating the 100th anniversary of the famous Swiss 'Vreneli' 100 Francs, solely issued in 1925. The name Vreneli first appeared in written records in 1943, though its exact origin remains uncertain. It is widely thought to reflect the youthful appearance of the figure, possibly derived from "Verena," a traditional German-Swiss diminutive. Accompanied by original box and COA #0070.

The jubilee 100-franc gold Vreneli reimagines the historic coin with a front-facing effigy of Helvetia, symbolizing both pride in Swiss tradition and a determined gaze toward the future. Designed by Chiara Principe, the piece holds deep symbolic meaning, particularly celebrating the evolving role of women in Swiss culture and history. Blending old and new, the coin features traditional Alpine motifs, anniversary dates, and dual portraits-honoring the original 1925 Vreneli while offering a modern tribute to Swiss identity.
