Description

1893-O Ten Dollar Liberty, MS62
Conditionally Scarce, Rare Any Finer

1893-O $10 MS62 PCGS. Variety 1. From a mintage of 17,000 pieces, the 1893-O Liberty eagle is seldom encountered above the MS62 grade level. This attractive specimen carries that pivotal grade, although the surfaces suggest an even higher designation is possible. Smooth and lustrous orange-gold surfaces show far fewer than the expected number of contact marks for the grade. The strike is sharp and mint luster radiates from both sides. PCGS reports only 13 numerically finer examples, plus two pieces in 62+ (8/24).(Registry values: N1793)
