Description

Lustrous 1853 No Arrows Dime, MS66

1853 10C No Arrows MS66 PCGS. CAC. The No Arrows 1853 dimes are rarities in all grades. Although the mintage of 95,000 should have been sufficient to provide many survivors today, that is not the case due to the substantial amount of silver in each coin before the weight was reduced later in the year. The No Arrows coins were hoarded and melted for their silver content. Today, PCGS and NGC have certified just 16 examples at this grade level, with 16 other higher grade pieces. This Premium Gem specimen has pristine, frosty silver surfaces with brilliant luster and a frame of gold and iridescent toning.
