1881 Shield Nickel, MS65
Low-Mintage, Better Date

1881 5C MS65 PCGS. Although mintages of half eagles and eagles at Philadelphia reached record levels in 1881, it was a different story for the Shield Nickel. IN GOD WE TRUST is die doubled north, and the S in TRUST is absent due to die fill. PCGS Population: 43 in 65 (1 in 65+), 30 finer (12/25).(Registry values: N1793)
