A unique and extremely important set. While individual pieces and partial sets have appeared on the market over the years, never before has a complete set been offered for sale. The Arielle Collection had a 7-piece set that sold for 1,600 GBP ($2,571 at the time; Baldwin's 85, September 2013, lot 3228), while the Diana Collection had a 9-piece set that sold for 1,900 GBP ($3,524 at the time; Baldwin's 58, September 2008, lot 1329). The closest complete set ever sold was in the Ford Collection, who had 11 of the 14 required pieces. This gives a great illustration of just how hard it is to form a complete set. As such, this may very well be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
