   Description
1882-CC Liberty Eagle, AU58
Glowing Red-Gold Surfaces

 1882-CC $10 AU58 PCGS. CAC. Variety 2-A. Ex: Rian's Bequest.
Struck from the only listed dies. Nevada mint officials
manufactured 6,764 Coronet eagles in 1882. That represented a
substantial decrease from the 24,015 coins produced the year
before. The most recent estimate published in 2020 by Rusty Goe,
who calls the 1882-CC "unquestionably an underrated date," pegs the
surviving population at 160 to 190 coins.CAC has awarded a green approval sticker for the coin's high-end status for the grade. Original red-gold surfaces retain glowing mint frost around the borders and central devices, contributing to the excellent eye appeal. The peripheral elements are razor-sharp and the centers display just a touch of trivial rub. Population: 19 in 58 (2 in 58+), 6 finer. CAC: 12 in 58, 1 finer (11/21).
