Description

1893-CC Liberty Eagle, AU55
Final Carson City Issue

1893-CC $10 AU55 PCGS. Variety 1-A. Ex: Rian's Bequest. The final Carson City eagle issue struck before the facility closed its doors on June 1, 1893 claims a mintage of 14,000 coins. About 250 to 315 of those ten dollar gold pieces are believed extant, according to Rusty Goe. Frosty luster glows around the devices, which show minimal softness above Liberty's ear and on the olive leave but strong detail elsewhere. Luminous yellow-gold surfaces display small ticks and hairlines.
