Description

1890-CC Double Eagle, MS61
Frosty Orange-Gold Surfaces

1890-CC $20 MS61 PCGS. Variety 1-A. Ex: Rian's Bequest. A late die state example with lapping on the right side of the eagle's tailfeathers. This issue (91,209 coins) serves as one of the most plentiful Carson City double eagles in high grades. The surfaces of this unworn example are frosty orange-gold with surprisingly few major abrasions for the grade. Liberty's curls, the stars, and the eagle's neck exhibit crisp detail.
