1879 Dime, MS67 Prooflike
Fortin-104a, Repunched Date

1879 10C MS67 Prooflike NGC. F-104a, R.4. A scarce prooflike example of Fortin-104a, with repunching of the 1 and 8 of the date, and less obviously on the 9. The fields are remarkably prooflike on both sides, with attractive iridescent border toning in shades of blue, amber-gold, and lemon-yellow. The strike shows incompleteness on Liberty's hair and the left half of the ribbon.
