Highly Lustrous 1875-S Gem Trade Dollar
1875-S T$1 MS65 NGC. Type One Obverse, Type Two Reverse. NGC and PCGS have seen about 50 1875-S Trade dollars grading MS65, and fewer than 20 examples designated finer. Potent luster underlies a melange of powder-blue, gold-tan, and lavender toning that is joined on the reverse by dappled olive-green. The design features are sharply impressed throughout, though a touch of softness is noted in the radials of a couple of stars along the right border.
