Elusive in All Grades

1872-CC 10C F-101, Low R.4, VF35 PCGS. The 1872-CC is an importance key date in the Seated dime series, coming from a mintage of 35,480 pieces. Examples are scarce in all grades and only a single Mint State coin is known. Circulated pieces are concentrated in VF and lower grades and are rarely seen finer. This Choice VF example boasts well-defined motifs and deep olive-gray and russet toning. An outstanding example of this scarce Carson City issue. Population: 13 in 35, 21 finer (5/16).
