Charming Near-Mint 1838 Quarter Eagle
1838 $2 1/2 AU58 NGC. The surfaces are somewhat prooflike on this charming and beautiful piece, which shows a paucity of abrasions, large or small. The upper left shield corner is only slightly weak, and the coin possesses an abundance of eye appeal overall. In 1838 the Charlotte Mint opened for business.(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 7696, Greysheet# 8247)
