1950 Franklin Half, PR67+
Border-Toned Registry Coin

1950 50C PR67+ PCGS Secure. Franklin half dollars were struck for circulation beginning in 1948. Proofs were first struck in 1950. This first-year proof issue is the scarcest in the series in Superb Gem condition. PCGS lists only a single coin finer than the present (9/18). One of just seven Plus-graded PR67s, this Registry-grade example displays razor-sharp detail and remarkably deep mirroring in the fields. Russet and olive-green border toning surrounds each side, leaving the interiors mainly brilliant.(Registry values: N491)
