Description
1798 $1 Large Eagle, Pointed 9, Wide Date, B-15, BB-112, R.3, VF30 PCGS. Bowers Die State III. Deep autumn-brown and forest-green toning blankets this midgrade early dollar. The portrait high points are pearl-gray. A few of the right-side reverse stars are softly brought up, but wing detail is substantial, and the only mark of import is near the 8 in the date.Ex: Baltimore Signature (Heritage, 3/2009), lot 2328, which realized $2,185.
