Description

1804 B-1 Quarter, Fine 12
Collectible Problem-Free Example

1804 25C B-1, R.3, Fine 12 NGC. CAC. Tompkins Die State 1/1. The desirability of and sustained demand for the 1804 owes much to the legendary dollars bearing that date. However, only 6,738 quarters were struck in that year. Most coins entered into circulation and survive to a lesser extent than the first-year 1796 pieces. This well-worn example has steel-gray patina with lighter-toned areas over the high points and occasional glimpses of gold and lavender hues. The overall impression still shows good detail.
