1872-S 25C Fine 15 PCGS. CAC. Briggs 1-A. A scarce issue in all grades, boasting a mintage of only 83,000 coins. Uncirculated examples of the 1872-S quarter are exceedingly rare. This mid-level circulated coin displays original olive-gray patina that deepens toward the borders, leaving the devices with grade-consistent detail. The surfaces are generally smooth, with a few trivial scratches along the lower-left border being the only mentionable flaws. Population: 5 in 15, 26 finer.
