VF Details 1873-CC Dollar
Important Carson City Rarity

1873-CC $1 -- Obverse Graffiti -- NGC Details. VF. The 1873-CC is the rarest Carson City silver dollar issue. Only 2,300 pieces were struck, some of which were likely melted by the Mint prior to release after the Act of 1873 eliminated the denomination in favor of the Trade dollar. The present untoned example has been cleaned and displays a few thin pinscratches on the right obverse. A slight obverse rim ding is at 2 o'clock. Still a desirable example of a famous Old West rarity.(Registry values: N4719)
