Description

1814 50C AU50 NGC. CAC. O-103, R.1. Star 7 points between the curls at the forehead, and a heavy die line connects the eagle's left (facing) wing to the scroll bottom. This still-lustrous AU piece displays pretty pastel blue patina in the fields competing with rose on the high points of the obverse. The reverse shows some iridescent color along with bits of charcoal-gray around the devices. Both sides are late die states with peripheral elements drawn to the borders.(Registry values: N991)
